Experience • 5+ years of hands-on Node.js/TypeScript development (Essential) • 2+ years building and operating microservices in production (Essential) • Experience in banking, fintech, or payments is Mandate Stack required • Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS/Fastify • Frontend: ReactJS, NextJS, TypeScript, Redux/Zustand, React Query • Database, Cache & ORM: PostgreSQL, Redis, TypeORM/Prisma • API & Architecture: REST (OpenAPI/contract-first), Microservices, Event-driven architecture, BFF pattern • Realtime & Message Queue: Socket.IO/WebSocket, Kafka • Security: OAuth2/OIDC, Authorization Code Flow + PKCE, RBAC/ABAC, JWT handling • Testing: Jest (unit/integration), Playwright/Cypress (E2E), contract testing • AI-assisted development: hands-on experience using AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to speed up development Nice to have • Core banking / fintech vendor integration: Finacle, Fenergo (CLM), FIS (AML/TM), card management systems • Payments domain knowledge: domestic/cross-border transfers, real-time payments, limits, card controls • Real-time systems at production scale (WebSocket/Socket.IO) • Code quality tooling (SonarQube, ESLint, strict TypeScript) • Working with Jira/Confluence in a Scrum team; comfortable with ambiguous requirements and product-minded discussions
