Job Description

**Senior Solutions Architect Enterprise & Homegrown Applications (Business-Facing)**

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as the primary architect for a client with a complex mix of business and homegrown applications. This role bridges business and technology, owning the integration and strategic direction of all systems to ensure seamless alignment with business goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Gain deep understanding of all client applications and homegrown systems, including their purpose, interconnections, and business dependencies.

- Assess business and technical impacts of changes or new requirements, providing direct, clear answers to business questions.

- Propose strategic solutionswhether building new capabilities, modifying existing systems, migrating platforms, or retiring outdated applications.

- Prioritize work by distinguishing critical needs from non-urgent enhancements, ensuring focus on high-impact activities.

- Lead projects end-to-end from identifying business needs through to delivering solutions and guiding implementation.

- Facilitate technical discussions with business stakeholders and vendors, including evaluating new business platforms.

- Direct development partner priorities, ensuring all work aligns with approved business objectives before execution.

**Qualifications & Experience:**

- Proven senior architect experience managing a portfolio of enterprise business applications, including legacy and homegrown systems (e.g., Java-based environments).

- Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to lead discussions and influence decisions at the executive and business owner level.

- In-depth experience with enterprise system integrations and architecture.

- Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge in undocumented or poorly documented legacy environments.

- Confident in setting strategic direction and prioritization in collaboration with vendors and senior leadership.

**Success Metrics:**

- Clearly articulate how the client's applications integrate and delineate the role of each system within the overall ecosystem.

- Provide timely, well-reasoned responses to business queries regarding changes or system evolution, including actionable recommendations.
