Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies Vriti actually uses, why, and how you can manage or withdraw your choices.

Effective date: October 9, 2026 · Version 1

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones Vriti (operated by Marktine Technologies) actually uses, why, and how you can manage or withdraw your choices. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, which cover how we handle personal data more broadly. Consent given here for website cookies is separate from any consent you give for an AI interview session, recording, transcription or evaluation — those are covered by their own notices at the point you take part in them, not by this policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits or requests. "Similar technologies" is a broader term covering local storage, session storage and comparable mechanisms a browser lets a website use to store or retrieve information on your device. This policy covers all of them, not literal cookies only, and distinguishes each by its actual purpose rather than assuming every storage mechanism is legally the same thing.

2. Why Vriti uses them

We use a small number of these technologies to keep the platform secure and working (signing you in, maintaining your session) and, only with your permission, to understand how the product is used so we can find and fix problems. We do not use cookies for advertising, ad personalization or cross-site retargeting today.

3. Strictly necessary technologies

These keep you signed in, keep your session active, and help protect the platform from abuse. They are active for every visitor and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot authenticate you or keep your session without them. They are never used for analytics or marketing.

4. Analytics & performance technologies

We use Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to understand page usage, navigation patterns and errors, so we can improve the platform. Both are optional: they do not run until you choose "Accept all" or enable Analytics & performance in Cookie Settings, and both stop collecting new data if you later withdraw consent.

5. Functional technologies

Vriti does not currently use any optional functional cookies (cookies that remember a non-essential, convenience setting). This category exists in Cookie Settings so that if one is introduced in the future, it launches already gated behind your consent rather than needing a new consent mechanism built after the fact.

6. Advertising and marketing technologies

Vriti does not currently use advertising or marketing cookies, pixels or similar technologies (for example, ad retargeting or campaign-attribution tags). If that changes, this policy and Cookie Settings will be updated to add a dedicated category before any such technology is deployed.

7. Technologies we actually use

Retention periods for Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity are the vendors' documented defaults for the cookies their scripts may set; Vriti does not independently verify each value and it can change on the vendor's side. Confirm current figures against each vendor's own documentation before relying on them for a compliance filing.

8. How to update or withdraw your consent

You can change or withdraw your optional cookie choices at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of any page. Your choice takes effect immediately: optional technologies you turn off stop collecting new data, and technologies you turn on begin running from that point. Strictly necessary technologies cannot be turned off, as explained in Section 3. You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings, though doing so may affect sign-in and other core functionality.
